1. The middle brother
I was born on April 15, 1992 in the city of Albacete, where my parents, Dayfred Martinez and Wendy Cañizares, are from, they were the ones who decided to call me Daywen Jose. I am the second of three brothers, the oldest is 35 and the youngest is only 4 years old. When I was only 3 years old I had to go live with my grandparents in Buenos Aires, since my parents divorced; my older brother went to live with my mother and the youngest with my father. Even so, my gra8ndparents gave me all the education and love I could wish for. I began my elementary and high school studies in an institution in the same community, from which I graduated with honors. In 2010 I entered the National University of La Plata, where I started one of my biggest dreams, to be an architect. All the effort and time I invested was worth it, in 2016 I graduated entering among the top 10 averages. Today I work in a construction industry, I have a daughter whom I named Sofia in honor of my grandmother, I am married to a beautiful woman, Natalia Paletta, which I met at the University, we not only share at home but also at work.
2. Dreaming of dance
Mariana Virginia Villarreal Simancas is my name, it was on March 23, 2001 that I was born in the IVSS of the Beatriz Trujillo state, a beautiful and very white girl of almost 4 kg. My parents are Sergio Villarreal and Karina Simancas, I am the oldest of 3 siblings; the second is Angel, 15 years old, with whom I constantly argue, but it is something normal for siblings, and the youngest is Fiorella, 10 years old, I have taught her a little bit of everything, dancing, singing and acting. Both my elementary and middle general education I attended the Private School “Ignacio Martin Burk”, in which I entered in 2008 and culminated in 2018, excelling in grades and in the activities I participated. During all this time I dabbled in several areas, I was part of the political front Primero de Justicia, representing my urbanization la Beatriz; dancing is another of my passions being part of Lina Academia, I performed in different places such as the Tenis Club, on more than one occasion. I also participated in photo shoots for Clemens Chami, a swimwear brand. In 2019 I entered ULA to start my studies in Medicine, one of the goals I have set for myself and I will fulfill, because I want to and I will. 4. Overcoming obstacles
Jean Pierre López Cortés
I was born in the hospital in Madrid on November 15, 1947, my mother was Dulce María López Cortés who had the difficult task of raising me alone. When I was only 5 years old I became an orphan, my mother died of cancer. I was taken to a foster home, by the time I was 15 years old I had already been part of 4 different families. Since I could not study I had to work from a very young age, but this was not an impediment. I made great friends, in 1967 when I was 20 years old, together with a group of 3 friends (Valentina, Marcos and Jenny), we decided to open a fast food business. At the beginning it was not easy, but as the months went by everything got better and better. The 4 of us who started this business ended up being more than friends, Marcos married Jenny and they had two beautiful children, on the other hand Valentina ended up marrying me. In 1969 we became parents of a beautiful little girl, whom we named Daniela Sofia. Four years later, in the month of February, we opened a new restaurant which we named Delicias Nani, in honor of our daughter. It has been more than 20 years since we opened it, now it is my daughter who is in charge of the business while I spend my days at home with my beloved wife.
5. My passion, cooking
My name is Leonardo Mario Carpio Benitez, I was born in Naples on October 20, 1983. My mother is Italian and my father moved to Sicily when he was 22 years old, he is a native of Venezuela. They met in a bakery where he worked and she was a frequent customer. Her family is wealthy, but as we know in love this does not matter. When my mother got pregnant for fear of my grandparents’ disapproval they decided to move to Naples, 7 months after they moved I was born. From an early age they both taught me how to cook and enrolled me in culinary school, where I polished all the things they had taught me at home, I graduated from culinary school at 23 years old. Life’s twists and turns always surprise us, my maternal grandparents show up and buy me the bakery where I work today.
6. My father’s stories
Olga Garcia, a nurse, was my mother, who had action in the fields of World War II, where she met my father, First Sergeant David Ruiz. Once the war ended they moved together to Austria, when they had 5 years living together they had their first child and my older brother, Daniel. Two years later I was born on January 4, 1954. Driven by all the stories my father told us, I decided to join the army in 1974 when I was just 20 years old. I excelled in various activities, for which I earned several insignia, including the insignia for valor, good conduct, physical prowess, among others. In 1998 I reached the highest rank “Major General”. At the age of 64, I reached the honorable retirement status. Today I spend my days in my cabin in front of the lake, remembering my father’s stories.
7. Justice prevails
My name is Andrea Isabel Praga, I was born in Greece on October 9th, 1989. Together with my parents when I was only 4 years old we headed to Spain on a raft, in search of a better quality of life. Those were very difficult days but we made it to the Spanish coast. Once inside the country, my parents started to have a lot of jobs with the aim of giving me the studies and that I did not lack anything. Some time later in 2008 I entered the Complutense University of Madrid where I started my law studies, at 25 years old I obtained my law degree. I am currently pursuing my postgraduate studies.

I am 21 years old.
I am an only child, I studied at the school “Eloisa Fonseca”, then I was enrolled in the Private School “Sagrado Corazón de Jesús”. I graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree. The same year I began my art studies at the School of Fine Arts in Montevideo. I am currently in my 4th year and I enjoy every moment in front of a canvas.
9. Life comes from the earth
In Mexico City, in the hospital of the Armed Forces on October 31, 1995 at 9:30 pm at night I was born, Isaac David Parada Parada. My parents are Paul Parada and Gladys Parada, I am the youngest of 4 siblings (Javier, Eduardo and Carolina).
My parents have a farm, so my siblings and I dedicated ourselves to farm work. However, my father insisted that I study agricultural engineering so that one of his sons would have more knowledge in the area.
In 2015 I started my studies at the University, culminating them in 2020 in the month of July. I am actively in charge of my parents’ farm.
10. From America to France
My name is Scarlett Nasri, I was born on May 1st, 2001 in Marseille, France. I grew up as a child of two cultures: American and French.
Although my parents were born in the United States, they moved to Marseille after their wedding because of their jobs. My father is an accountant and my mother is a language teacher.
It was somewhat easy for me to make friends with my French classmates, as my mother taught me the language.
Since my childhood, I have had a great thirst for knowledge and new discoveries, and my parents’ friends were happy to share their memories and life experiences with a curious little girl.

My name is Aranza S. Western P. I was born on May 23, 1973 in Colorado, where I lived until I went to college in another state. I am the third child and the only female in a family of six. My father, Mr. Wilson Western, is a retired physician and currently runs a pharmacy in town.
My mother, Mrs. Valery Western, was a registered bionalist who worked for several medical institutions across the state until she decided to retire in 2011. Today, she helps dad run the pharmacy.
I went to school at Colorado School and Laurence High School, where I completed my elementary and high school education respectively. I then went to the University of Kansas, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Journalism.
Growing up with five brothers was not easy, considering I was a girl. With all the masculinity in the house, there was a lot of competition and rivalry. However, I have been the most successful in the workplace, writing articles for the “New York Times”.
12. Family excellence
I was born in an environment full of athletes, my father was a basketball player in college and currently runs the high school team where I studied. My mother came to represent the entire state in the Olympics of gymnastics and finally my older brother lifts weights professionally. In 1986, on August 10 in the city of Caracas was that I was born, and part of my life was already dictated, also had to do with the sport.
I inherited my parents’ brilliant brains, because I was always the best student academically. And as expected my skills were not just limited to the classroom, I also excelled in sports. In high school, I was arguably the best female athlete in outdoor games, especially track and field and volleyball. I have many accolades to my name, however, the one that stands out was in my sophomore year in high school. Representing our school in short track, I attended the state competition where I placed third overall. I also won the best athlete award that year at our school’s awards ceremony. Now I am traveling around the world representing my country in all the major competitions and the name of Yuddy Ferrero is already recognized.

Evans Grey is my name. I grew up in a small rural town in Oregon. But I was born in Dallas on July 20, 2001. From a young age I was drawn to music, so in school I started guitar lessons. From the beginning, the guitar captivated and challenged me. Motivated by my passion for the instrument, I attended Portland State University where I perfected my talent; I participated in several competitions in which I was on the podium. I am currently in England at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, exploiting every part of my talent and learning a myriad of new techniques.
14. The waves and the sea
In the city of Sydney on June 18, 1988, on a very sunny afternoon, according to my parents, I was born. Both my father and my mother are teachers, that’s why they pressured me to be a good student, but studying was never my thing. I used to go to the beach all the time, nothing like the adrenaline that surfing big waves gives me. I always talked with my friends about starting a surf school, although my parents didn’t agree with the idea. Once I finished high school I started with the preparations to create the school, despite all the inconveniences I managed to open the surf school in a small room with only three people. What surprised everyone is that only two years later, what started with three people is now the largest surf school in Sydney, with more than 150 people enrolled. And it’s just getting started.
15. Last years in solitude
Alfonso Cervantes 75 years old. I was born in the city of Medellín on the 17th day of September 1945. My parents were Miguel Cervantes, a bricklayer, and Delia Flores, a housewife. I studied at the “Mi Jardín” Elementary School and high school at the “Andrés Bello” Private School.
Since my childhood I liked to write poems and paint portraits of faces. In school I always excelled in the areas of literature and art; once I graduated I enrolled in several courses in writing, lyric and others. I participated in several activities of this nature, in some occasions I obtained awards or recognitions, while in others my only gratification was to participate. In an art exhibition I met a photographer with whom I would marry, after four years of marriage we had our first son, of whom I have a large number of portraits. I instill in him every day each of the knowledge I have and I helped him in all his homework in Spanish and literature, sometimes I guided and taught his fellow students.
After 2008 I became a widower and my son has already formed his own home, now I only dedicate myself to writing small poems in my afternoons, inspired by the solitude and the sound of silence.
